'New TV show revamps six ugly S. Florida homes'

A new show on WE. (Written before strike.) Miami Herald article here.

[S]ix South Florida families were pleased when friends and neighbors told them their houses were ugly and needed repair.

The interventions were part of the Ugliest House on the Block -- the latest TV show to join the home makeover craze. Airing on cable's WE channel, its entire first season is set in South Florida.

The ugly homes -- two in Hollywood, one in West Palm Beach, one in Oakland Park, one in Miami and one in Fort Lauderdale -- received makeovers that ranged from new landscaping to redecorating rooms and building new walls. . . .

New episodes air at 9 p.m. Fridays, through Feb. 1, with the prior week's episode airing at 8 the same evening. . . .
