This weather has lifted my mood. It's been so unseasonably hot here. (Yes, I do believe in global warming.) Also, I'm glad the holidays are over and things are back to "normal." Like some people count down the days till Christmas, I count down the days till January 2nd. Back in my pajama bottoms, t-shirt and old socks tonight.
It was 40° when I left home this morning (probably felt like 30-something). I was wearing my hoodie (with the hood on) under a leather jacket I bought a couple of years ago in San Francisco.* I noticed this to be the fashion this morning as I was walking from the bus stop to work (since the escalators and elevators weren't working at the Metromover stations--I guess they were frozen--and I didn't feel like climbing the f****ing stairs). Didn't mind the walk, however, and still got to work on time.
