Our cat Mercury had a enlarged kidney for several years, and while he had progressive renal failure (probably brought on my cortizone shots when he was 6) the enlarged kidney never did cause any problems. (He died of cancer at 17-not from the kidney)

Thank you. Lucy is doing OK. Her kidney function is normal, according to a blood test. The vet now doesn't know what she felt in Lucy's abdomen. She has since called it a "thing."
